When Levant begins working with a new website client, one of the first steps for our project management team is to figure out the sources of their online frustrations. It could be a broken photo gallery, or poorly written content, or just an overall buggy site that doesn't work the way the client wants. And when that client plays a crucial role in our local community, it's especially important to ensure they're able to continue servicing the city and state.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Oklahoma City approached Levant in need of an overhaul for their website calendar and blog. The calendar functionality is crucial for the church, as it not only notifies the public about events, but also allows important members of the congregation, such as ushers and lectors, to see their ministry schedule easily with the click of a button.

"We had a lot of goals for the new site and the experience worked out superbly," said office manager Marjory Feighny. "We've now got photos pertinent to the times and seasons, a calendar accessible to all with explanations, and a blog that allows us to provide important information while being attractive to the eye at first glance. The new design is terrific with forward-thinking features and working with Chandler was great. She's a trooper!"

Feighny said one of the most difficult aspects of a website overhaul was establishing the perimeters of the site and planning out the content. Levant worked closely with the church to ensure that all the important information was conveyed accurately and effectively, while providing them with quality content to shore up their Search Engine Optimization. The church had a substantial amount of information that needed to be on the site and the Levant team helped to rework the sitemap for a more user-friendly experience. Now, the church can tell their story while providing quick and efficient community information.

"There's definitely a lot to learn when it comes to putting together a new website," she said. "Thankfully, Levant's expertise and knowledge made for a great process. The team members who worked with us at the Cathedral were always kind and professional."

The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish was founded in 1919 and provides both English and Vietnamese services. Since they serve a lot of people, the Cathedral needed a robust website full of information for parishoners and guests alike. With their new site, the Cathedral's staff is looking to the future and remain excited to utilize their new site to spread their message.
